TikTok opens the direct channel for Shopify sellers

The Chinese social network has partnered with the Canadian e-commerce platform Shopify. The sellers presented on the latter can create, start and manage marketing campaigns directly from their Shopify dashboard.

Social media are becoming more and more important in brand marketing. And for good reason, they’re becoming one of the most popular channels for consumers to find and buy a good. And there is a very young social network from China that wants to take its share of the cake. TikTok (Bytedance), which has long been viewed as a light entertainment medium for the younger generations, has been focusing on its services for brands for several months.

It just partnered with the Canadian e-commerce platform Shopify. This will help a million of its salespeople create and deliver their marketing campaign right in TikTok, by paying or organically. You have access to TikTok for Business, which was launched by TikTok in June and which brings together all of its services for brands. Without leaving the Shopify dashboard, they access the TikTok for Business ad manager. With the button “1 click pixel” you can track your conversion rate. All authoring, targeting and performance monitoring can be accessed from a single location. The sellers have direct access to the creation tools of the Chinese network, so in a few minutes they can create campaigns adapted to their audience (short videos, musical, simple, animated …). Finally, Shopify sellers benefit from a credit of USD 300 for Tik Tok advertising at launch (approx. 270 euros). The partnership is already effective in the USA and will be implemented in other countries from 2021.
